Halifax Regional Municipality created the new park adjacent to the Little Sackville River bridge, at Riverside Drive. The grassy space and new trees complement the bridge upgrades completed last year.
The SBA has lobbied for the creation of the pocket park for several years, and executive director Michelle Champniss was delighted to see it approaching completion.
“It’s great to have usable green space in the heart of the business district,” Champniss said. “We often see people sitting on the benches installed last year, so we know people will use the park.”
