Chef Roy Khoury graduated from Damascus with hospitality school in the mid-1980s. With 29 years of experience working with the biggest five-stars hotels in Jordon, famous chefs around the world, introducing new dishes to his hometown, opening five different restaurants in Halifax since he landed in Halifax in early 1990s. Chef Roy decided to open The Shawarma King to bring back the original taste of the Syrian cuisine, especially in the Lower Sackville area. Mixing healthy meals, fresh ingredients, vegan meals, and delicious food with friendly hospitality creates a recipe for restaurant success.
