The Sackville Business Gala & Awards is a wonderful evening dedicated to celebrating the strength, innovation, and resilience of our local business community. The event features an inspiring keynote address, the presentation of the 2025 Sackville Business Awards, and an opportunity to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and community leaders.
We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s keynote speaker will be Rashmi Prakash, and Sackville’s own Jayson Baxter will be emceeing the evening.
Keynote Speaker
Rashmi Prakash is the CEO and founder of Aruna Revolution, an award-winning fibertech company transforming sustainable materials innovation. With a background in biomedical engineering and business leadership, Rashmi has successfully raised investment, scaled operations, and secured national exposure, including a feature on Dragons’ Den. She has been invited to speak at international conferences on entrepreneurship, innovation, and environmental impact. Driven by the belief that business should be a force for good, Rashmi is building a company that advances human health, environmental sustainability, and economic opportunity - proving that purpose and profit can thrive together.
Emcee
Jayson Baxter is a former host and producer of CTV News at 5 in the Maritimes with 30 years experience in broadcast media. He received a RTDNA Canada Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 for his work in the industry. Storytelling is this proud Sackville resident’s lifelong passion and he uses it to build bridges between people and communities.
