Clean Team Member

Salary: $18/hour

Term: June 29, 2026—August 21, 2026

Clean Team Members will contribute to creating and maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for Sackville residents, businesses, and visitors. Working collaboratively with fellow team members, partners, and local organizations, they will support the upkeep of the public realm within the Sackville Business Association district. Responsibilities include litter removal, light maintenance and painting of public amenities, event setup and support, gardening and landscaping assistance. In all duties, Clean Team Members will represent the Sackville Business Association in a positive and professional manner.

Daily Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  1. Collect litter and garbage along sidewalks, streets, and ditches throughout Sackville
  2. Assist with gardening, planting, and lawn care activities
  3. Assess situations, identify issues, and implement appropriate solutions where possible
  4. Report to work on time and complete assigned duties as required
  5. Report any damaged or deteriorating infrastructure (e.g., flower baskets, planters, benches, litter bins, mailboxes, buildings, sidewalk damage, loose bricks, fallen trees, graffiti) to the Executive Director

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

  1. Support maintenance in high-visibility areas of the district
  2. Assist with setup and takedown of community events
  3. Paint public realm assets such as benches, railings, and waste receptacles
  4. Other duties as required

Eligible candidates must meet the following Canada Summer Jobs criteria:

  • Aged between 15 and 30 years old
