Community Cleanliness Technician

Salary: $17/hour

Hours of Work: Seasonal Part-time (approximately 6 hours/week)

Location of Work:
This position will require work throughout the Sackville area, with a special focus on Sackville Drive. The
Community Cleanliness Technician will spend most work hours in the community, however, will report to
the Sackville Business Associations main office located at 622 Sackville Drive.

Position Summary:
One of the Sackville Business Association’s mandates is to improve and maintain Sackville’s business
district. One element involved in keeping a pleasant streetscape is the removal of litter and debris within
the district. The Community Cleanliness Technician will be responsible for keeping the roadside area clear
and clean.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Community Cleanliness Technician will be responsible for:

  • Regular litter removal on roadside/parks
  • Removal of illegally posted signs/posters on utility poles
  • Keep record of any municipal infrastructure in need of repair and report to 311
  • Report any graffiti on municipal property to 311
  • Report any graffiti on commercial businesses to Executive Director
  • Other duties as required
